Created by karatekid552 based on Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Derpizard is a humorous and playful ROM hack designed to entertain with its sheer silliness. Released on April 27, 2014, this hack replaces all references to Pokémon with "DERPIZARD," including overworlds, sprites, and text, transforming the familiar Pokémon universe into a hilarious parody.
Inspired during an IRC conversation at RHO, the idea originated from amusing sprite comparisons, notably involving Charizard. This project isn't about a compelling storyline or lovable characters; instead, it's crafted for players seeking a lighthearted, laughter-filled experience after a long day.
