Description

Embark on an adrenaline-fueled vehicular combat adventure in Spy Hunter, a thrilling remake and sequel of the iconic 1983 arcade classic. Originally launched for PlayStation 2 in 2001, this action-packed game has been ported to multiple platforms including GameCube, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, PC, Mac, and Tapwave Zodiac.

Take control of the high-tech, weaponized spy vehicle—the G-6155 Interceptor—and immerse yourself in a dynamic chase experience. Unlike the original’s top-down perspective, this version features a fast-paced chase camera that keeps the action front and center, reminiscent of racing games.

Experience a pulsating soundtrack with variations of the classic Peter Gunn theme, including an electrifying lyrical version titled “The Spy Hunter Theme” by Saliva, enhancing the immersive atmosphere during menus and missions.

With fourteen diverse missions—including two training levels—your objectives range from destroying enemy weaponry and communication towers to tagging targets and avoiding civilian casualties. Missions also include unique challenges such as escaping a warehouse in a Trabant within a tight time limit, escorting allied vehicles, and chasing down stolen Interceptors.

The storyline follows Alec Sects, an FBI-trained F-15 pilot, as he battles against Nostra, an international conglomerate involved in food, bio-chemicals, genetics, e-commerce, and children’s software. Leading the opposition is Daemon Curry, a messianic figure who believes himself to be the prophesied antichrist, inspired by religious prophecies and Nostradamus. To combat this threat, the IES forms the elite team known as Spyhunter, dedicated to bringing Curry to justice.
