Developed by Neverland for the Game Boy Advance, this game combines captivating storytelling with engaging gameplay. Join Ark and Ivy, two brave Gate Guardians, as they strive to protect innocent humans from the malevolent alien race known as CIMA, who feast on hope itself.
As players navigate through treacherous dungeons crafted by CIMA, each featuring unique challenges and enemies, you'll rescue NPC allies with special abilities, guiding them safely out of danger. CIMA cunningly build their labyrinthine worlds on the principle that without escape, humans lose hope—deliberately delaying their attacks to appear less threatening and break the spirit of their prey.
The adventure begins aboard a train headed to the frontier—a land of new beginnings—only to be interrupted when CIMA attack, pulling the train into their ominous worlds. In this tense environment, strategic thinking is crucial, especially during combat where you must coordinate fourteen party members, directing them to operate switches and solve puzzles in a style reminiscent of a planar Lemmings game.
