The gameplay closely mirrors other titles in the Metal Slug series, delivering fast-paced, action-packed combat. Introducing innovative systems such as the life system, which replaces traditional extra lives with a dynamic health bar, and the card system, adding strategic depth. Players restore health by collecting food items, while damage from attacks depletes their life bar. Beware of hazards like crushing or falling into pits, which cause instant death and revert progress to the last checkpoint—resulting in the loss of rescued prisoners and collected cards.
