The adventure kicks off with SpongeBob discovering Plankton's giant vacuum machines threatening Bikini Bottom. From there, a portal behind SpongeBob’s house whisks him away to Jimmy Neutron’s lab, where he meets his friends and learns about the sinister plot. Jimmy reveals that Professor Calamitous has stolen his Universe Portal Machine and allied with villains like Plankton, Vlad Plasmius, and Denzel Crocker, all intent on stealing energy from their worlds. Equipped with high-tech gadgets and teamwork, these heroes must stop the villainous Syndicate and save their universes in this lively, fun-filled crossover quest.
