Designed to allow you to assemble a team of your favorite Pokémon from Generation 3, Excelsior introduces strategic improvements without sacrificing the nostalgic feel. Many Pokémon have been retyped and rebalanced—Gyarados becomes Water/Dragon, Charizard turns into Fire/Dragon, Pinsir is now Bug/Dark, and Pidgeot remains a pure Flying type—ensuring a more dynamic and viable team composition. Additionally, numerous Pokémon have adjusted base stats, making each encounter meaningful and competitive.
The game features unique starter choices—Numel, Cacnea, and Wailmer—each with balanced BSTs of 540, providing versatile options for players to tailor their journey. Trade evolutions are currently in development, with some evolving by level and others through alternative methods, including special evolutions like Eevee into Espeon with a Sun Stone and Umbreon with a Moon Stone.
