Embark on a thrilling adventure that acts as a sequel set within the same universe and timeline as the Generation 2 games. Assume the role of RED, Ash Ketchum, or your own unique trainer—freshly crowned as a Pokémon Champion after conquering the Elite Four.

Following your victory, Professor OAK has upgraded his lab with a powerful generator to supply the town with efficient electricity. While your Pikachu relaxes at Oak's, you gain access to a newly built harbor, enabling ferry travel to distant lands and new adventures.

Your journey begins in your familiar bedroom, setting the stage for a classic start. A call from Professor OAK prompts you to visit his lab, where he informs you that Pikachu has accidentally damaged a valve. Professor ELM may have a spare part—so you set off on a voyage to Johto via the new ferry route.

In ELM's lab, you acquire the needed part and are entrusted with an egg to show Professor OAK. The egg hatches into an unknown Pokémon, compelling you to return to Johto and share this discovery with ELM. Having conquered Kanto’s gyms and the Elite Four, why not revisit Johto for new challenges and adventures?
