Embark on a vibrant, isometric adventure in Rayman: Hoodlums’ Revenge, a captivating platformer for the Game Boy Advance set immediately after Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. This game humorously parodies traditional platform genres while delivering engaging gameplay.
The story begins with Rayman and Globox peacefully sleeping in the forest, until Globox's dreams are disturbed by memories of swallowing the Black Lum André. When a strange sound awakens him, Globox ventures off in search of its source—possibly captured by the sinister Hoodlums, as he's later found trapped in the Bog of Murk. Rayman soon awakens to find his friend missing and sets out on a quest to find him.
This installment introduces a unique isometric perspective, differing from classic 2D or 3D platformers, offering a fresh visual experience. Throughout the game, players control either Rayman or Globox, with the ability to switch between them in certain levels by pressing the Select button, allowing for dynamic team-based gameplay.
The core objective in each level is to reach the finish line while maximizing points by collecting gems and luminescent orbs scattered throughout. Players also earn points by freeing Teensies and defeating enemies. At the end of each level, scores are rewarded with Murfy stamps—bonus tokens that unlock additional content and secret levels when accumulated.
