Embark on a vibrant and quirky role-playing journey set in the whimsical Ketchup Kingdom! Developed by AlphaDream and published exclusively for the Game Boy Advance by Nintendo in Japan on January 25, 2002, this game immerses players in a colorful world filled with inventive devices like Jack-in-the-Boxes and charming characters.
Meet DeMille, a brave hare-like boy dressed in blue, living in a whimsical, wheel-less school bus in Cobore Village—an outcast among his peers for his dislike of tomatoes. As a "Dropper," he's banished and misunderstood, but his adventure sparks when he witnesses King Abīra's sinister plans to celebrate Tomato Day with the dangerous Super Cara-Cooker—a laser gun capable of transforming everything into toys and dolls.
After his television is damaged, DeMille enlists his friend Seremo to repair it, receiving his first Gimmick: the Gear Yo-Yo. Throughout his quest, players guide DeMille across the colorful Ketchup Kingdom, engaging in lively conversations, exploring unique locations, and collecting items. The primary goal is to rescue DeMille's girlfriend, Patharan, and thwart King Abīra's schemes.
To succeed, players must gather missing robot parts from various villages to unlock access to the Gimmick Palace—a towering structure topped with a tomato. Instead of random battles, enemies roam dynamically on the screen, and encounters are triggered by bumping into foes, creating a lively and engaging combat experience.
