Developed by Treyarch for the home consoles and Vicarious Visions for the handheld versions, each version delivers unique gameplay styles, with the GBA presenting a side-scrolling beat ’em up divided into seven gripping “issues.” The PC version seamlessly ports the console experience, crafted by Beenox.

Players can control both Spider-Man and Venom, each featuring their own storyline and levels. Face off against formidable bosses like Shocker, Silver Sable, and Carnage, as you swing through cityscapes and battle enemies in adrenaline-pumping combat.

The storyline dives into the origins of Spider-Man and Venom, revealing how Peter Parker and Eddie Brock’s fathers, Richard Parker and Eddie Sr., created a mysterious black liquid with incredible healing and superhuman properties. Tragedy strikes when they are deceived into selling their project to Trask Industries, leading to their deaths in a plane crash before completing the “suit.”
