Final Fight One ROM
Description
Final Fight is a classic side-scrolling beat-'em-up developed by Capcom, originally launching as an arcade game in 1989 on the CP System hardware. Set in the gritty streets of Metro City, players choose from three distinct heroes: Mike Haggar, a former pro wrestler and city mayor; Cody Travers, an expert street brawler; and Guy, a modern ninja. Together, they embark on a daring mission to rescue Jessica, Haggar’s daughter and Cody’s girlfriend, who has been kidnapped by the notorious Mad Gear Gang.
The game supports up to two players in cooperative mode, selecting from the three protagonists, each boasting unique fighting styles and abilities. Gameplay features intuitive controls: an eight-way joystick and two buttons for attacking and jumping. String together combos by repeatedly pressing the attack button, with the option to perform throws by timing directional inputs. Jump attacks and a powerful special attack—activated by pressing attack and jump simultaneously—allow players to clear surrounding enemies at the cost of a small health reduction, adding strategic depth to combat.
The Game Boy Advance version, titled Final Fight One, was developed by Sun-Tec and released in 2001. This version includes all three characters, enhanced stages like the Industrial Area (absent from the SNES version), and features a cooperative two-player mode via link cable. It introduces dialogue scenes before boss battles, unlockable hidden characters from Street Fighter Alpha 3, alternate character color schemes, and the option for two players to select the same hero. Character and background designs are adapted from the SNES versions with increased enemy on-screen capacity and restored transition sequences. New power-up items from Final Fight Guy and a Cody doll item
